Nikkei Sushi Workshop

Overview

  • Nikkei sushi is a flavorful fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine: Japanese sushi techniques + a Peruvian kick (lime, avocado, ceviche-inspired methods).
  • A new training in our lineup—fresh, fun, and educational for both team events and groups of friends.
  • Sushimon has run Japanese food workshops since 2007 year 2007 ( 450 + sessions) and tailors the content to your event.

Venue & Duration

  • Duration: 2.5 hours (including eating).
  • Location: we run workshops in Tallinn and across Estonia—either at client-selected venues or at Sushimon’s space Tartu mnt 84a, Tallinn.
  • At our venue: room rental 3 h = 90 € (+ VAT); capacity up to 25 participants.

Room Requirements

  • Each participant should have a small tabletop and a a seat.
  • Access to a power outlet.

What’s Included in NIKKEI workshop?

  • Welcome appetizer and a small pisco sour shot (non-alcoholic option available).
  • Sushi making: each participant prepares 12 pieces in total , in the spirit of Nikkei flavors.
  • Stories and background on the origins and key tastes of Nikkei cuisine.
  • Included extras: pickled ginger, soy sauce, wasabi, chopsticks.

Menu per person

  • Peruvian-style spicy miso soup + small pisco sour shot
  • Salmon–Mango Maki – 5 pcs
    fresh Norwegian salmon, mango, avocado, tangy Nikkei sauce
  • Shrimp–Sweet Potato Maki – 5 pcs
    crispy tempura-shrimp center, roasted sweet potato, avocado, cucumber, ponzu, crispy shallots
  • Tuna Tartar Nigiri – 2 pc
    tuna, chili, soy sauce, lime
  • Sides: pickled ginger, soy sauce, wasabi, chopsticks

Special requests: with prior agreement we tailor the menu for vegetarians and other dietary needs (a non-alcoholic welcome drink is also available).

Price

  • Base fee: 230 € for the workshop.
  • Ingredients: 25 € / participant.
  • Additionally: transport fee (about €15) or room rental (≈ 90 €) and VAT.

Ingredients & Availability

  • All ingredients used in the workshop are included in the price.
  • Afterwards, the same ingredients are easy to find in Estonia (e.g., nori.ee, umami.ee, epromo.ee).
  • Some specialty items may be exotic and be brought by the instructors from Japan, to provide an authentic taste experience.
